Our History

Soft Shoe has been providing shoes to Richmond and surrounding counties since 1983. Since 1987, we have been in our current location on the EKU By-Pass. As our business and customer base has grown, so has our selection. By the beginning of 2014, Soft Shoe’s brand selection has grown to include over 100 brands of footwear for women, men, and children.

The employees of Soft Shoe all have one thing in common. They enjoy finding the right pair of shoes for each customer, one pair at a time. It’s the personal attention to each customer that sets us apart. Our goal is simple. Take care of our customers and do everything we can to send you out the door happy. This is an art that we’ve spent over thirty years perfecting, and we’re good at it!

Our team is carefully selected, vetted and trained with a focus on customer service, knowledge about the brands we sell, and creating a positive experience for each customer. Our team will educate, inform and recommend but will not use aggressive sales tactics. We provide our team ongoing and comprehensive training on customer satisfaction, foot health and extensive knowledge of our shoe brands.
