Southern Marsh Signature Coin Tee

While on a trip to New Orleans, one of the designers at Southern Marsh, noticed a coin insignia on a building in the French Quarter. The marker – set prominently above the threshold – was to designate the building as a location that paid for additional city services like fire fighters, running water, and trash removal. The coin bore the family’s name in a beautiful font and had their address scrolled around it to give notice to the city that this family was entitled to full municipal services. The coin insignia — still beautiful 200 years later is the inspiration that led to this hand drawn type coin design.
